“cousins by blood - friends by choice”

when somebody is celebrating a birthday, we extend greetings and say so many good things about the person. the cliché … “ it’s the thought that counts” is totally true. we need not buy and give something expensive. what matters is we remember that someone and we show appreciation. it’s my cousin shiela’s birthday. her FB wall is already full of good wishes. it only shows she is much loved. i definitely would like to say a few things about her. to her friends, i would like to share with you the shiela I know…
SHIELA is … “a supportive wife” and a “loving mother”
however, she is …
-not a good cook and doesn’t cook at all. 
-doesn’t do any household chores
nevertheless
-whatever her hubby does, she gives her backing all the way. talk about the marathon/ cycling tour/ and soon… triathlon. she is one big fan of her husband. -a cool mom: she reaches out to her teen-age daughters. she finds time and bonds with them. knows the latest trends: she’s got a collection of “the twilight saga” , “high school musical” and “glee” . she also enjoys the music of bruno mars, katie perry, neyo, lady gaga and the like. (check the cd’s on her car). it’s her way of showing she understands her daughters and is willing to support them the best possible way she can.
*SHIELA is more than just a cousin.
she is a good friend.
we enjoy doing things together like:
-eat out
-watch movies/ stage plays / concerts
-travel (singapore/ boracay, palawan, la union)
(*all expenses paid)
she is a fitness and diet guru.
-she introduced me into the world of “running” -she always watches my weight and reminds me to cut down on calories
-she tells me when I’m fat and tell it to me flat on my face.
-she doesn’t believe me when I shout out: “i’m 5 pounds lighter” on FB. she wants proof in weight and scale moreover she schedules a “date lunch out” to see me in flesh.
my dear cousin shiela . . .
we have come a long way. we grew, we matured. we shared precious time together and we will share more. we understood life better. there is no dull moment with you. (because i always do the talking). you sure know how to show love, not by saying it but by showing it. i totally feel it...you deserve everything that you have right now because you are a good person inside and out.

-for treating me like your real brother.
-for being a good friend
