a time to kill time

Monday, October 13, 2008 1 comments

we had shutdown maintenance in the office last sunday. i only worked from 4am to 9am... i had no plans to do that day. so, i hit gold's gym right away. i stayed there for like few hours to kill time.i did indoor rowing for 6o minutes. i did cycling for an hour. lift weights for like 45 minutes. stayed in the sauna/steam room for 20 minutes. took a shower for 30 minutes. while doing all these, i thought of what to do next. since, the gym is just near the mall, i headed to it and started "malling". first stop:Fruit HAven.i had a banana flavored fruitshake with strawberry flavored designer whey protein powder and started walking around.sightseeing, people watching.window shopping. 2nd stop: Powerbooks.i picked some interesting books and magazines, stayed in one corner and read.i took notes of some important tidbits, trivia, quotes, etc.i didn't notice the time. when i finally felt kinda hungry, i went out of the bookstore and went straight to "The Coffe Shop" and had a taste of their baked macaroni with toasted bread plus H2O. 3rd stop: Odyssey Record Bar. i checked out the latest cd's . i listened to Ne-yo, Chris Brown, Jason Mraz, John Mayer and even Miley Cyrus (my niece Jade is crazy about her music)i also listened to Sitti's Christmas album, Rico Blanco,EHeads,C.Bautista. when i'm finally done, i went out. to my surprise, there was a free concert at the activity center of the mall. it was Ogie Alcasid, promoting his latest album. I chose a nice spot to have a good view of the concert and started listening to his music. He rendered OPM. soothing, relaxing pilipino music. compositions by rey valera, george canseco, ryan cayabyab, louie ocampo and of course, his own compositions. The man is truly one of the best singers we have in the music industry. he also has good stage presence and has a great sense of humor. he made the peole laugh with his antics and when he sings..he does it with ease and effortless. after the show, i went straight to the church and heard mass. that's how i spent my day. that's how i was able to kill time.

out to see 2 movies

Friday, October 10, 2008 1 comments

TROPIC THUNDER.. is the kind of movie that you need to watch from the very start. Don't be late. It starts with fake advertisements which make way for the movie making it very funny. Ben Stiller is an action star who made a picture called "Simple Jack" (a mentally challenged farm boy) in order to be recognized at The Oscars." Robert Downey Jr. plays an Australian actor so devoted to his craft that he undergoes a "pigmentation-alteration procedure" to play a black man. Jack Black's character just plays a comic actor who has made a fortune out of donning fat suits and FARTing a lot.
Tropic Thunder is a Vietnam War movie based on a book by Sgt. Four Leaf Tayback (Nick Nolte).A group of self-absorbed actors who set out to make the most expensive war film. However, prima donna behavior of the actors threatened the production which cause the studio to cancel the movie. The director doesnt want to stop shooting so the actors were thrown into hostile territory, leading the cast into the jungles of Southeast Asia nevertheless still remain in character and keep complaining to their agents even as the real-life situation gets actually becomes very dangerous. This movie points about race, sex, drugs, and Hollywood.
The movie is funny from start to finish. For several times,i found myself laughing out loud.it was even funnier when i realized at the end of the movie that Les Grossman, the war movie's bullying, foulmouthed producer is played by Tom Cruise.
Check out his dance moves. very very funny! Cruise even ended the movie with his funny dance steps.famous line of the movie... "DONT GO FULL RETARD"

EAGLE EYE is an action and mystery thriller produced by Steven Spielberg. It stars Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan..The movie is about Jerry Shaw (LeBouf), a copy-store clerk who’s been living in his twin brother’s shadow his entire life. While his brother did well in college and now holds a big-time government security job, Jerry wasjust getting by travelling around the globe with different odd jobs.. The exciting and thrilling part of the movie started when Jerry learned that his brother has been killed. Strange things occur.Jerry Shaw received a call on his cellphone from a mysterious voice of a woman saying.. "Jerry Shaw, you have been activated." this happened shortly after an ATM unexpectedly spits $750,000 in his direction.Jerry Shaw, along with Rachel Holloman (Monaghan) is being tracked by a woman and organization he has never heard of. Ironically, these people are tracking both Shaw and Holloman through the simple technologies, such as cell phones, laptop, pagers. As the tension escalates, they become the nation's most wanted fugitives and neither of them knows why. The action is fantastic, with enough explosions, car chases, and government conspiracies to keep things interesting. The movie simply wants to say..."WE CAN RUN BUT WE CANT HIDE." . You know what happens when one was given intructions on what to do and didn't follow? Go figure!

SEX in the office...

Wednesday, October 1, 2008 8 comments

the much talked about topic in the office these days is SEX. it has become so famous and almost everybody wants to try it in the office.i admit, i kinda like the idea of having it right exactly at the workplace but,i always have second thoughts.as much as possible, i want to control my actions.i dont easily get influenced by other people.if i say NO , i mean it. no one can forced me to do something which i try to avoid.i've been hearing a lot from my colleagues to try it even just once.some already had it and enjoyed it...all i hear from them is satisfaction. for about two weeks, i was being teased,i was being told to at least try having it just once.much as i wanted to turn them down, much as i wanted to ignore them and shoo them away, they still bug me. they never surrender.if you can't beat, join them ..so i gave in.i had it just this morning. and the most exciting part is,the whole team participated. imagine the moment of finally doing it in the office together with all the other team members.it was cloud nine! i savor every moment of having it. with eyes closed, smile on my lips. OMG! it's so sinful. what can i do? i'm weak.SEX in the office is actually real great! but i promise myself i wont do it again. not in the near future. BECAUSE I AM STILL ON A STRICT DIET, REMEMBER?
NOTE: SEX means-- Sinangag Express.breakfast meal. belongs to silog family.Sinangag Express offers tapsilog, longsilog, tocilog. i so love Adobo Flakes silog! YUMMY!sex is open 24hours and just a call away for delivery service!

H2Oless gym...

Tuesday, September 23, 2008 0 comments

one bad trip! that's what i experienced yesterday at gold's gym. you can just imagine the feeling of uneasyness when you work out and sweat out. only to realize the shower room cannot be used because of water interruption. how low can gold's gym go? good thing their rival gym is within the area. immediately i left gold's and hit the other gym! it was a very smart move. i am not a member of that fitness club. i just availed the free trial work out and eventually took a warm bath there.whew!relaxing!
i went back today at gold's gym. everything went back to normal. full water supply. no more interruption. i told one of the staff what i did and where i went yesterday. informed the person how disappointed i was. all apologies , that's what i got. well, no one is to blame. so, i just pretended as if nothing happened. after all, it's still the best gym for me. spacious, warm people around & friendly staff.

call it off...

Sunday, September 21, 2008 0 comments

i put on my favorite pair of pants one day and i was shocked because it doesn't fit me at all.. i couldn't believe it because i always work out at the gym. how can i gain weight? this is so not good. from that time on, i decided to go on a diet. i believe, working out is not enough. i also have to watch what i eat. for about a week, i was on a very strict diet. no rice. oil/grease-less food. everything steamed, fruits, veggies.wheat bread.no soda. no sugar.just water. plain H2O.
BUT.!!

what are you going to do if you belong to a group of people who loves to pig out? very unfortunately, that's the kind of group that i have on the floor. my colleagues love to eat. food delivery is what they always have in mind. we have this rule in the office. it's when someone comes in late, he has to order pizza. when someone celebrates birthday, we also have to treat pizza. that's what happened the other day. a latecomer and a bday celebrant. OMG..! it means.. pizza party! you know what happened next.

on stage

Tuesday, September 16, 2008 0 comments

i enjoy watching stage plays. the very first play i ever watched was " frankie & johnny" at the insular life theater in makati. i was with my big sis & big bro. it was actually my sis's birthday. we went straight to pizza hut after the show.
Repertory Philippines is already in its 71st season and i'm proud to say that i have watched all its shows : January-"Tuesdays with Morrie", February-"Hamlet", March -"Romance in D", April-"Altar Boys"... there are 2 more show i need to watch this year-- "Disney's Mulan" (August-December) and "A Christmas Carol" (November-December) .
i was also able to watch PETA's "Skin Deep" and "Noli at Fili :Dekada 2000"
i also watched the Filipino musical "Desaparecidos" by Philippine Stagers Foundation (PSF) , formerly known as Dulaang Bedista Alumni Production (DBAP)

the most recent play i watched was "West Side Story", STAGES' major musical offering in 2008.

i was able to watch the movie on dvd before.it was the 1961 film version of the show. This show is like a Broadway version of Romeo and Juliet.

The show turned out to be something which i really expected. great choice of actors. they have given justice to the characters they played.the show was a feast in the eyes and ears. great songs & dances.truly one of the great musicals of all time.

Christian bautista played the role of Tony. He has given justice to the show's songs which suited his voice quality. This is his first lead role in a play and he did it quite well. However, there are minor flaws when it comes to his movemement especially when he's suppposed to dance.
Joanna Ampil played Maria in the show. As expected she played her part close to perfection. The sweet and naive girl from the start until the part when she loses Tony, she is full of emotion and sang her songs almost flawlessly. She started singing on high note and goes higher and higher. Still, the quality of her voice never changes. She sings smoothly unlike other newbie singers who screams and shouts to get the high notes. Joanna delivers crystal clear voice to the audience.
Rowena Vilar who played Anita was a scene stealer. She was one of the best performers of the show. She is a real dancer! Anita’s songs were one of the challenging ones but she carried them off as fantastic. Her acting is oh so good. She's got real talent!
singing, acting, dancing .these are what the rest of the cast members did. Each character, minor roles may be, were well executed. the actors in this show actually sing, act and dance pretty well. it's like watching a grand production from a tv show. kudos to everyone and the people behind the scenes

run japs run...

Sunday, September 7, 2008 0 comments

running is good for our body. first, it's keeping us in shape and second , it helps us in losing weight. I RUN EVERYDAY. i enjoy the feeling of exhaustion, gasping for breath and sweat running down my body. however, the kind of run that i do is something not totally exciting because i just do it on the treadmill. the air that i breathe is coming from the fan attached to the machine and another from the airconditioned unit inside the gym.

last saturday morning was the real thing. i went out to the field of Philippine Sports Arena (formerly known as "The ULTRA") and had my actual running there. It's a 400m oval track. Definitely open to the public. There's an entrance fee of P29.00 The oval track opens at 5:30am. There were lots of runners around, young & old, boys & girls. Enough reason to get motivated and keep you going. I happened to see some elite runners practicing.i managed to run 5 rounds on the oval track and chose my own finish line... Pancake House Beef Tapsilog Breakfast...alright!

bum.bum.bum

Thursday, September 4, 2008 0 comments

bumming around is the best thing i am so good at. since i took a leave from the office because of my face warts removal, i stayed home... for 4days straight, i glued myself on tv, ate, slept. played with the kids. the latter was the best. i have 2 nieces and 1 nephew who are so smart. just like uncle. the kids and i slept together, i listened to their funny stories. they're so innocent. when i talk , they listen. they had so many questions and what's more... they speak good english. just like my clients in the office. the kids have american twang. NOSEBLEED!.. spending precious time with them is something i enjoyed to the fullest.

jade (12). was already ladylike, she's an achiever, a consistent honor student, cheerleader, loves reading books and watching mtv, (vj mica is their first cousin) she hates being bored. boys go crazy for her.

lara (9), on the other hand is so witty. always on the go.she's always the class "muse". effortlessly pretty (like her auntie, perhaps?). she's fast learner however, hates school. not into homeworks but come examination time.. she passes with flying colors!

toby (6), so handsome. so cute. i'd like to think he looks like me..that little boy is the alter ego of "spiderman". he thinks and feels like spidey. but when i caught a real spider and handed it to him, he ran away. ahahaha... kids!

my vacation was well spent. with them around, i was able to relax. i was able to enjoy cheap thrills.i wanna thank their mom & dad for bringing them into this world!

hey gary..bro...good job...!...good job...!

face the problem

Wednesday, September 3, 2008 0 comments

Webster describes warts as small, hard, round skin growths caused primarily by a virus. . they come in different sizes. there are flat and smooth warts as well as elevated warts, some are firm and rise from the surrounding skin.

i had also been a victim of warts. had some on my face. i didn't care much about them before ... until i noticed they grew in numbers and they hit me right near the eye area. i totally hated the sight.hence i started surfing the internet to check on how to get rid of those. there are some home remedies, over the counter medications... eventually, i realized... what the heck? this is my face. i shouldn't take any chances.so what i did next was went clinic hopping. until i finally decided to have CAUTERIZATION (burning with heat/lasers).. Godiva Skin Care is where i put my trust into.

i took a leave from the office. i stayed at home for one whole week.did nothing.when i came back to work, i felt rejuvenated.

a different note

Wednesday, August 20, 2008 1 comments

i love music. i enjoy watching people sing. i have my own favorite singers. i even enjoy singing.videoke bar is a favorite hang out.i can tell if a person can sing well or not. i can tolerate out of tune songs. however, what i cannot bear is seeing and hearing celebrities (actors) on tube trying very hard to perform and pretend they can also sing aside from acting on the big screen. that's a No-No!

i never imagined myself in that scenario. never in my entire life will i waste my time watching someone do a concert whom i know can't carry a tune.

i swallowed my words.last friday ,aug15, my steps led me to music museum to meet with my cousin & her hubby. i joined them in watching a concert dubbed as " gabby concepcion: on a different note". what convinced me in joining them is the guests the "comeback actor" has on his show. both queens in the music scene...comedy concert queen (ai-ai de las alas) and the real concert queen (pops fernandez).

i was surprised/amazed. gabby can actually sing. he can carry a tune. his choice of songs are great. fit to the quality of his voice. filipino love songs. 80's hits. he sang duet with the "queens". and would you believe, at the end of the show, after he left the stage, the audience shouted MORE.. MORE.. MORE.. as expected he went back on stage.. got the mic and asked.."sigurado kayo?" his last song moved me.it was a favorite of mine. it's called "hanggang". i always sing it on videoke.did he do justice to the song? lemme just say i had a different perception on the man after the concert. he doesn't only have good looks. he's got real talent!

a taste of crescent moon

Monday, August 18, 2008 0 comments

i stayed at my cousin's home in Parkwoods, Pasig last friday night. (we watched a concert at the music museum that night.) i planned to go back downsouth (where i'm based) after waking up in the morning..however,my cuz, being a very gracious hostess, invited me to join her family to hit antipolo and try the cozy resto her house's interior designer has recommended..."Crescent Moon Cafe" ...we got going around 10 am.

we actually had a hard time getting there.Advertising is very limited. we relied on the info we got from the website.we asked directions from the people of antipolo, and of course, called the person who recommended the place.after going around antipolo for about half an hour, we finally found the place...whew! It is situated practically in the heart of Antipolo City. The entire surrounding is a very big garden with so mcuh trees and pond full of goldfish. There is also a "Studio Pottery", where you can see ceramics of different designs.

The landscape surrounding the cafe is superb. it spells tranquility and serenity...a relaxing place indeed! The Cafe/Resto is situated exactly in the middle of the garden.

Crescent Moon cafe is owned and managed by, Ceramicist Lanelle Abueva-Fernando.A niece of the National Artist for Sculpture Napoleon Abueva.

We were welcomed by the owner herself. She was very warm and friendly. She treated us like old friends. We were told that we can check the scenery, watch the pottery making and she will just call our attention when meal is served. Very homey! the feeling was like you're home with your own mother preparing your food.

Full set lunch meal at Crescent Moon consists of appetizer of an alagao leaf... a mixture of various local filipino spices:sweet thick sauce with grated peanuts, diced onions & ginger, fried shrimps(hibe) green chili pepper, diced kamias & shredded coconut, and chopped basil leaves.topped it with a liitle salty and sweet sauce.what makes it special is you get to prepare it yourself...wrap-your-own- appetizer kind of thing. MAIN COURSE...creamy chicken soup, ginataang chicken curry ,native vegetables, steamed fish (carpa) and for dessert, special suman (rice cake) with sweet mango...AND OF COURSE..Lanelle's signature plates and bowls and mugs added an attraction to our dining experience. It was a great..to-die-for lunch.YUMMY..!!

so, what are you waiting for? TARALETS sa Antipolo!

NOTE: This is not a paid advertisement of Crescent Moon Cafe. This is a just simple appreciation for the warm welcome of Lanelle.

SPA in the city

Wednesday, August 13, 2008 0 comments

everyday, after office hours, i go straightway to gold's gym. even on my restdays i still drop by at the gym. i lift weights MWF and cardio exercise TTHS. i have been used to it. it has already been part of my system. i love the feeling of sweating out. i even love the feeling of soreness on my body...muscle pain & strain. there are times when i intentionally overdo the exercises. strange but true. when i torture my body, it means i have discovered a new spa in the city which i wanna try.

i love spa and massage.full body massage relaxes me. i have tried different types of massage...SWEDISH, a classic full body massage which helps soothe muscles & reduces body tension....SHIATSU a Japanese-style based on the concept of acupuncture resulting in balanced Chi (life force energy). AROMATHERAPY, a gentle massage using aromatic oils. THAI, a massage which is yoga-like, focuses on gentle assisted stretching to help release blocked energy and tension. TRADITIONAL HILOT, a Filipino-style therapeutic massage combines the use of virgin coconut oil with medium to deep pressure strokes to relieve deep-rooted stress. the massage, plus the ambience made me stress free.

i am always in search for the new venue of relaxation. AND..the best so far is..(drum roll, please..) the blind massuer. i was so relieved. i enjoyed a one hour massage from a visually impaired man. i would say it's the best massage i've ever had. Blind people have a built-in capacity to visualize and all they have to do is touch the person's body and they'll know what is ailing that person. what's more... it's the cheapest. i had the best massage for only P350.00

Body Massage by the beach at Puerto Galera.

Wooo..hoo..!!!

pale body... not IN

i love the sun. i enjoy the feel of it on my skin.the funny thing is..i'm not fair skinned.so you can just imagine how i look like everytime i expose myself under the sun.i still remember how my mom will tell me not to go out of the house when the sun is up because she might not recognize me when i get back home. BEFORE...only fair skinned people are considered good looking. like it or not, we filipinos think and feel that way.

NEVERTHELESS... there's a certain tv ads which gave way for people to think that having a tan is a status symbol and is associated with being a member of the upper classes.the commercial was about a group of friends sharing their experiences on their latest travel. however, there was someone who was fair skinned... speechless. not much to share.the person began to feel insecured, nothing to talk about because surely...no travel or out of town gimiks lately.it shows on the color of her skin...Bravo to that advertisement. i so love it...it opened the eyes of many. that ads simply put ..is..to show that one is wealthy enough to be able to spend time working on their tan.

i love the sun so much and i understand that overexposure can do harm.that's why i equipped myself with the best sunscreen.there's only one brand for me.it's the VMV Hypoallergenics.i particularly use "ID". Id Anti-acne,anti ageing face, chest, back and body exfoliating lotion..Id Facial cleanser and shaving cream,Id soap with apricot and salycylic acid,Id clarifying and firming toner and Id skin buffing pumice and salicylic facial cleanser and Id sweat acne and overall antibacterial monolaurin gel..plus...the extreme protection for exteme condition ..Armada Sport!

i have been a VMV user for 2 years now.my skin love it..i bring my ID everytime i travel. i dont leave home without my ID..i no longer worry even if i overexpose myself under the heat of the sun.... i am protected....i am skintelligent and has skinthusiasm!

NOTE: this is not a paid advertisment of VMV Hypoallergenics. But if VMV will read this, and think that I should be compensated for doing it... I can accept compensation of any kind. (let's say free facial treatment, at least) hehehe.

drink.pee.repeat!

Tuesday, August 5, 2008 1 comments

it has always been a part of pinoy's life to drink.. and the call center life takes part in that habit. our company makes sure that each group should allow time to have team building every month... an allotted budget is given for the said team building. every agent has his own share... complete attendance is expected.. this is the time for camaraderie.. to build strong relationship among the group..

CCA's favorite team building activity is ...DATE WITH SAN MIGUEL! in other words... drinking beer! this activity is believed to be great in relieving stress... "the pinoy's weakness is beer, and his next weakness is the next beer" virgilio malang.

whenever i drink. i make sure that i only have a little cut over the head... i never wanna be all fawked up..meaning really drunk, intoxicated, high, totally obliterated

our team has gone to so many bars/joints/resto to drink beer...we always had fun. HOWEVER, i could say that it's not the beer which brings good time in the group. it's each other's company which brings fun! that's why we always raise our bottles and say "cheers!".

let's drink to that!

do you wanna be on top?

Wednesday, July 30, 2008 0 comments

after office hours i hit the gym right away.. i run..lift weights..sweat a lot..in doing it..i know i take care of my body and enhance my mental...emotional life... almost everyday.. i go to gold's gym to work out..however, there was a time when i got bored and thought of doing something else...

instead of going to the gym.. my feet led me to the mall... i planned to watch a movie..shop..eat out..

nevertheless...while going around the mall...a change of plan occurred my mind..i discovered a spot where i can continue doing fitness activities... i was amazed at an artificially constructed wall with grips for hands and feet, used for climbing.

hhhmm...interesting..challenging...with my gym clothes ready.. i tried it.

wall climbing is actually a popular urban sport which provides men & women with the opportunity to try some aspects of the sport of rock climbing. it has grips which come in different colours to denote a route..there are also coloured tape placed under climbing holds ... used to mark different climbing routes. well, rock climbing performed on artificial structures attempt to mimic the experience of outdoor rock climbing but in a more controlled environment...thus, making it safer..

i had several attempts to reach the top... i never stop climbing...i sweat a lot... my shirt got soaking wet..aching hands...trembling legs...never say die... i never mind the mall people who were watching me... my focus is to reach the top... never surrender...with determination i did it!...it was never easy..but i was actually able to reach the top.... able to climb the wall..

eat your heart out spiderman!

.....alcohol you later...!

a balance between life & work is very important in a very demanding career environment... the best solution to stress, pressure & tension caused by work is.. TO PARTY..!

the upper management team in our department held a party at a famous bar. the party centered around the consumption of beer and other liquor beverages... the drink was coupled with music...the music was selected and played by a DJ over a powerful stereo system... we had house music, techno music, rave music!

but wait..there's more...

midddle of the night...when almost everybody was drunk...a "live band" was set up..the group was good.. vocalists had potentials...they played songs...old and new... fast and slow... time passed... a big surprise was blown... i was gulping my 9th bottle when i heard my name being called by the lady vocalist...requesting me to be on stage to sing duet with her... it was my colleagues' idea... i heard myself saying a loud "NO"! i wanted to walk out... but that's very childlike... and so, i was forced to give in to their desire... slowly my steps led me.... on stage!

i took a deep breath... became conscious of my posture...and....and...and...started to sing...

it was a love song... i knew i was out of pitch... the lady vocalist made it easier for me... when she sensed i cant carry the tune.. she outvoiced me....my office mates started screaming...applause everywhere... which was so funny...because when they did it.... my voice cant be heard... only the music... one will hardly notice that i was really out of tune...i prayed for the song to end sooner and hope my office mates wont scream and say .....more...more.. MORE PRACTICE!

my so called "performance" has added color to the night...i must admit, i had a great time singing with the band... and i wouldnt mind doing it again on the next parties to come...i just have to do constant practice...HA-HA!

that's the spirit!

..hard habit to break..

Sunday, July 27, 2008 0 comments

whoever says " i cant find the time" is absolutely just making an excuse.. you dont find time..you make it...

when i was just a newbie as a CCA, and in the graveyard shift, i felt so harrassed, haggard and abused. after work, all i really wanted to do was stay in bed.rest.sleep..dream.like a baby... i was detached from everything around me. for 3 straight months, i was like living in another planet. i dont exercise.. i dont sweat. always in an airconditioned room. sun didnt shine on me . all i really wanted to do was.. again.. stay in bed.rest.sleep.dream like a baby... no time for anything. 5 days of work. ..2 days off....it's called rest days. literally & fuguratively.

HOWEVER, no matter how much i spend time staying in bed, the more i feel so tired & exhausted..i came across a signage.. change your body.change your life.. that's when i realized i need to be active and on the go.

i need that change in my lifestyle... but how can i change? i dont have time... i'm always busy at work, and since work is tiring, i cant find time to do other things. better rest & relax..

but, then i realized... i used to be so active. i used to work out in a gym... then i stood up, look myself in the mirror.. shock was i.. i gained weight.. flabs & saggy. this is so not good.thus, the decision.

i need to bring back the old me. Gold's Gym became the answer. immediately i registered. started buying mens' health mags. there i learned that physical, emotional, and mental fitness are very important. I may be physically fit but may still be unhealthy and will easily get sick . working out in a gym prevents/treats many chronic health conditions brought on by unhealthy lifestyle or aging. To stay healthy it's important to participate in physical activity...

with conviction... i religiously work out at gold's. it has become a habit. i do more on cardio exercises though. true enough,i experience the change in my body. i was rejuvenated. became active. went back to earth.

i am "fit " again. i found the time. i'm in control.

YOGA 'ta try it...

Saturday, July 26, 2008 0 comments

i work 5 days a week, 9 hours a day...sitting in front of a computer, headset/mic on, mouse on the right hand...used to it. HOWEVER...there's one thing i like most about my company.... it gives us time to unwind... it offers different lifestyle wellness program.. one of them is the free YOGA class...i joined the class.. motivation: free gym bag after 10 sessions..

YOGA means "union" ... occurring between the mind, body and spirit... at first i actually thought it's merely stretching. though stretching it really is, as i went on attending classes..i found out it is really about creating balance in the body... developing strength and flexibility. we were taught of different poses/postures, which according to our yoga teacher has specific physical benefits.

"the practice," was introduced to us ... it means individual experience with yoga as it develops over time. ...2 sessions per week... "the practice" is always changing, reason why it doesn't get boring...after i have completed the 10 sessions.. and after getting the free gym bag.. i told myself.. i wont show up anymore because i finally got the freebie i wanted.. to my surprised.. i found myself going back over and over again... YES.. i completed the 24 sessions..

i admit.. YOGA is a sure way to relax your mind, body and spirit! really.... yoga 'ta try it...!!!
